José Salto is a photographer and art director specializing in hospitality, gastronomy, environmental portraiture, and architecture. He develops editorial and commercial projects for hotels, restaurants, and lifestyle brands, combining visual storytelling, natural light, and a contemporary aesthetic with an analog character.

Based in Málaga and working across national and international destinations, he integrates photography and film into cohesive visual direction proposals.

He is married to Beatriz and is the father of two children, who are an essential part of his perspective and his way of understanding time, light, and storytelling.

Throughout his career he has collaborated with international names such as Coca-Cola, Schweppes, Mahou, Campari, Cinco Jotas, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Nobu Hotels and Radisson Hotels, with features in publications including Condé Nast Traveller, Food & Wine, Arquitectura y Diseño and Vogue.

Moving between advertising and editorial storytelling, his photography is inspired by analog aesthetics — and by the emotional power of color and light — turning the everyday into a quiet, compelling visual experience. He also shares his perspective as a mentor through workshops like Mesa para 10, encouraging new ways of looking at documental photography.
